Last night was the “Old Fashioned Christmas” festivities here in town. They light the Christmas Tree downtown. There was a bonfire. We went on the Wagon Ride around town. Those Clydesdale Horses are HUGE! There was Beef on a Bun. The boys really enjoyed that. It’s a good way to raise funds for the town’s parks. Christmas Music was playing loud enough you could here it no matter where you were downtown. (It’s a small downtown. 🙂
All the stores were open late, and everyone had treats, and some kind of draw to enter your name into. There were sales on. I went back out after to do some shopping. 😀
It was an evening of complete Joy! My husband and I sat down after the evening, and looked back not only over the evening, but over the past four years. 4 years ago our life was upside down, and we could not see how we were ever going to get out of the situation we were in.
4 years later, our lives have taken a 540 degree flip. (Yeah…it feels like we’ve flipped over a few times.) We are in a small community filled with kind people. We love our home. Plurk is full of joy and satisfaction. Our son is thriving in the school he’s in. Our health is fantastic. We have great friends. As I write this I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude for all the Universe has brought me.
Ahhhhh….Life is Good.
It’s funny. When we first moved here, one of the people we met always said that. He still says it. “Life is Good.” Now I’m saying it! Guess it’s contagious.
